Baby Posture

Tummy time is the most important activity for your baby’s development. It is vital that infants and toddlers not be placed too much in Baby Holding Devices (e.g. car seats, infant walkers, bouncy seats, johnny jumpers, etc), or other positions that interfere with floor time on their tummy; however, with as hectic as life can it, it is unrealistic to expect that parents will raise their baby without any Baby Holding Devices. It is recommended families use these devices in moderation and with high levels of awareness of baby's positioning/posture.

If you notice significant asymmetries or preferred positions that aren't getting better, if your baby doesn't appear able to turn her head in each direction equally, or developing a flat spot, seek the help of a professional.
