Rehab Technician
Joined RISE Custom Solutions in 2015
Specialties: Problem solving, fine tuning, and optimizing fit and function of seating, positioning, and mobility equipment
Philosophy: The client and their caregivers are the people that understand and know their needs best. I believe it is important to listen, observe, and work hard to do my best to deliver solutions.
Bio: My daughter, Allison, was born with cerebral palsy. She has utilized a wheelchair, stander, gait trainer, and other positioning devices. On a day-to-day basis I have experienced, with her, how a well-fitting and functioning positioning and mobility device has assisted her to be healthy, have fun, and participate in all of our family activities. On the other hand, I also became familiar with the impact and the frustration of having her equipment not work or fit as intended. I have experience trouble shooting at home and working with the LifeScape and RISE Custom Solutions Seating and Positioning Clinic to get everything to work for her in the best way possible. Allison died unexpectedly at 9 years of age. That was exceptionally difficult. A few years later when I was at a crossroads in my career, I found this position at RISE Custom Solutions, and my wife who is a physical therapist at LifeScape encouraged me to apply. I feel so blessed to get to work with amazing people and co-workers every day to, in some small way, help make life as awesome as possible for people who utilize wheelchairs, standers, gait trainers, and other positioning and mobility equipment
