Bio: I started shadowing a Physical Therapist Assistant in Tyler, MN during my high school years. I was accepted to Lake Area Technical Institute shortly after and earned my degree in the Physical Therapy Assistant program. I graduated in 2005 as a certified PTA. Three years later, while I was working for the Sioux Falls VA Medical Center, I started assisting in their wheelchair clinic. The intricacies and challenges this job entailed were rewarding to me, and I felt a sense of accomplishment after completing a hard-to-crack project. In April of 2016 I started at what is now RISE Custom Solutions and have completed my Assistive Technology Professional (ATP) certification and continue to provide care for all patients with assistive devices.
