"Breakthrough progress" in under two weeks of Inpatient Feeding Therapy

The Remus family was headed to Florida for specialized feeding therapy to help their 13-month-old daughter, Breck, who has Russell-Silver syndrome. Then they found LifeScape, less than three hours from their home in New Ulm, MN. On October 4, 2019, the one-year anniversary of her NICU discharge and going home for the very first time, 13-month-old Breck was discharged from our Intensive Day Program for Feeding Therapy at Children’s Specialty Hospital at LifeScape. In less than two weeks in the program, Breck went from zero eating or drinking by mouth, to eating a variety of pureed, meltable, and soft solids, as well as drinking out of a cup. She’s a #RehabRockstar! Breck will come for outpatient therapy once a week to increase her progress. For details on our feeding program, call (605) 444-9750.
