This school program provides a transition to adulthood for 18 to 21-year olds with moderate to severe disabilities. It is located at 2801 S. Kiwanis Avenue Suite 100 in Sioux Falls.
Mark Sternhagen considers himself to be one of the youngest polio survivors in the U.S. He graduated from LifeScape--then Crippled Children's Hospital & School--in 1973, taught for many years at SDSU, and now serves on our Board of Directors.
A group of students at LifeScape uses Box Tops for Education as a practical learning project, with some proceeds given back to the community.
Aubrey and Rick Byrnes expected that their second child would be stillborn. Instead, Colton is overcoming multiple birth defects at every turn. LifeScape has been honored to be part of his journey.
